吉澤 朋の仕事場へようこそ
ここは、祖父・宗廣力三が過ごした自宅兼研究所です。
岐阜県郡上八幡で郡上紬を興した祖父は、
織りの技術だけでなくつくり手自身も高められる
暮らしと一体になった仕事を研修生と共に目指しました。
孫である私は、祖父の教えを胸に、工芸・文化と、
その背景にある思想を伝える
文化の翻訳家として仕事しています。
ほぼ半世紀前に祖父も眺めたであろう、
足柄平野に昇る朝日。
日々志を新たにしながら、日本の文化の基盤である
手で生み出すことの意味を掘り起こしています。
Hi, I’m Tomo.
Welcome to my workspace!
This place was once the home and workshop of my grandfather, Rikizō Munehiro,
who devoted his life to reviving Gujo Tsumugi pongee silk in Gujo Hachiman, Gifu.
For him, weaving was not only about the technique or beauty.
Together with his apprentices,
he pursued a way of life where making was an integral part of living:
a path through which both the maker and their crafts could be developed.
The sun still rises over the same plain my grandfather once gazed upon.
Carrying his teaching in my heart,
my work today is to communicate the value of creating by hand,
the very foundation of Japanese culture.
I believe the insights will guide and nourish our lives today,
transcending boundaries of language, culture, and time.
